Measuring our progress to keep moving forward
MATISSART’s corporate social responsibility approach is based on continuous improvementContinuous improvementA management principle based on measuring results, identifying gaps, implementing corrective or improvement actions, and regularly reassessing practices.. It develops progressively through the formalisation of our commitments, their implementation in our practices, and regular assessment of the systems in place.
In this context, the EcoVadisEcoVadisA platform for assessing corporate CSR performance. Its assessment notably covers four themes: environment, labour & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. It assigns a score and may award a medal depending on the result. assessment provides an external perspective on the maturity of our approach and helps identify areas where further efforts are needed.
Following an initial assessment that earned a Bronze medal in 2022, MATISSART continued to structure and implement its commitments.
Bronze 2022 → Gold 2025
Over three years, this progress reflects the work undertaken to better structure, document and manage our practices across the four main themes assessed by EcoVadis:
- Environment: Managing our impacts, energy, greenhouse gas emissions, resources and waste;
- Labour & Human RightsHuman rightsFundamental rights recognised for every person, including dignity, non-discrimination, freedom of association, prohibition of forced labour and child labour, and working conditions that protect health and safety.: Health and safety, working conditions, skills development, equality and respect for fundamental rights;
- Ethics: Preventing unethical practices, business integrity and employee awareness;
- Sustainable Procurement: Progressively incorporating social, environmental and ethical issues into our relationships with suppliers and partners.
The EcoVadis Gold medal awarded in 2025 recognises the progress achieved and the level of maturity reached at the time of that assessment.
Recognition, not an end in itself
A medal is a milestone on a journey, not its final destination.
The progression from Bronze to Gold provides MATISSART with an objective basis for assessing the advances made since 2022, while also identifying areas where practices can be strengthened further.
Our ambition is therefore to go beyond the assessment itself and progressively embed CSR in the company’s day-to-day operations and decision-making.
This means continuing to:
- Measure our impacts and monitor how they evolve;
- Strengthen preventive measures in health and safety;
- Support skills development and knowledge transfer;
- Pursue actions to reduce environmental impacts;

This continuous improvement approach also enables us to adapt to changes in our business, stakeholder expectations, and the environmental, social and regulatory developments affecting industry.
