Workplace Safety: Prevention and Innovation at Matissart

Ilo safeday25 poster r5 1

As every year, the World Day for Safety and Health at Work will be held on April 28. Initiated by the International Labour Organization (ILO), the day raises awareness around the prevention of workplace accidents and occupational diseases.

Theme for 2025:
This year’s campaign focuses on how emerging technologies—such as AI, digital tools, automated systems, extended and virtual reality, and algorithm-based work management—are transforming occupational safety and health (OSH).

The digital transformation of work has also brought new models, such as remote work and gig platforms, which will be examined more closely.

Promoting Workplace Safety and Health
The World Day aims to promote a culture of prevention and well-being in the workplace globally.

With more than 2 million workers dying every year from occupational accidents or diseases, this day is a key moment for all stakeholders—especially employers—to take proactive steps to improve health and safety practices.

At Matissart, employee health and safety is a strategic and top-level priority. Celebrating this international day allows us to reinforce several goals:
• Raise awareness and reinforce safety regulations and practices;
• Share knowledge and experiences with other companies;
• Promote a prevention culture and encourage best practices across our teams.
